Clean Eating FAQ

I get asked on a daily basis about clean eating, so I thought I'd make a resource that is always accessible to answer those questions.

-What is Clean Eating?
The act of a Clean Eating is choosing to consume whole, natural foods, seeking to minimize or eliminate all together your consumption of processed and refined foods.

-How/When can I or should I induldge?
The best answer to this question can be summed up in one word: moderation. I like to live by the 80/20 rule. 80% clean and healthy options, 20% treating myself. Let yourself induldge every now and then, but don't make eating a cupcake a daily habit ;)

Other than that, here are a few of my tips:

-WATER. Drink lots of it! You can never have too much water! The rule of thumb is, take your body weight and divided that number in half. Whatever answer you get is the amount of ounces of water you should be drinking daily.

-Meal prep! I personally don't meal prep anymore just because I've been doing it for a while, but, this will help you stay right on track. Take a day out of your week and designate that as your meal prepping day. Pre-package all of your meals for the week, and you will not fail!

-Rest. Make sure you rest! It is so important to remeber to rest. Often, we get so excited when we start seeing results, that we forget to give our bodies rest. This is SO important! Resting will allow time for your body to heal for the strenuous amount of activity you have suddenly made routine of.
