If you're like me, you do not have a 'valentine' today. But you know what? I'm totally okay with that.... Actually...
Oh but wait, I DO have a valentine! - Jesus! Isn't that the sweetest thing?
This world is fast paced, unforgiving, and ever-changing. But, there is one person who isn't, one who is our 'valentine' every single day of the year. Jesus.
So ladies, here's what I know-
We must guard our hearts and keep them safe. The Bible even instructs us to do so. We should not be throwing our hearts around just hoping that the right guy will catch it. We need to keep our hearts and minds so wrapped up on our creator that the only way a guy will ever notice us is through the Lord.
It can be so challenging in a world like the one we live in, to refrain from dating or to refrain from throwing our hearts around. However, by keeping our hearts safe and protected- by keeping them locked and centered on the Lord, we are only preparing ourselves for what's to come. God has a perfect plan laid out for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:11) One so perfect is surpasses our wildest, most perfect dreams! Is that not the best feeling ever?!
So this Valentines day, don't be bummed if you don't have a worldy valentine because you have a wonderful, loving, never-failing, copious amount of love from our one and only, our Lord and saviour every single day. Every single day. Ladies, GOD loves you. Each and every one of you! Cherish yourselves, and respect yourself enough to wait for the one God has for you. Focus intently on the Lord, and in all things you do- do it for the Lord.
