Staying Motivated! How do you do it?

Hey guys!  I've been getting a ton of questions lately all asking the same big question- 'How do you do it?  How do you stay motivated?' Since I've been asked this question so much lately,  I thought I would compile a little list of my top 5 tips for staying Motivated!

1. Inspire Yourself.
When I first started out on this weight loss journey,  I knew I needed to motivate myself.  I remember taking measurements and taping them to my mirror for me to look at every day.  Also,  I would write down quotes and tape them everywhere; on my calendar,  on the bathroom mirror,  in my planner,  EVERYWHERE.  So my point here is,  inspire yourself.  Figure out what it is that encourages you and DO IT.  I don't care if you have to tape notes to your forehead- well,  maybe don't do that ;) ... But do what works the best for YOU.

2. Find Accountability.
I knew that on my own,  I would fail.  So,  I had my mom set a date to take measurements every 2 weeks.  That way,  I knew when that day was coming so it pushed me to work HARD.  I also would send my mom a #sweatyselfie,  so I knew I had to workout and work up a sweat or my mom would be on my case.  My mom is pretty crazy awesome.  She's the best- if you're reading this,  I love you.  Thank you for your support along the way!  I eventually found beachbody and have since become a part of several Facebook accountability groups and absolutely love,  love,  love it!

3. Make Goals.
Goals are a huge part of life.  They give you inspiration and passion.  I always say that it's a good thing if your goals scare you a little bit.  That's what they're supposed to do! I have found that by setting goals,  I always think about them.  On days I feel like quitting,  I remember those goals and it gives me that extra push I need to keep going.

4. Go Public.
What I mean by this is to share your goals with the world! Use instagram,  Facebook,  Twitter,  whatever it is that you feel most comfortable with and tell the world your plans!  By letting others know what your goals and plans are for yourself,  you put that extra push on your shoulders.  If others know what you said you were going to do,  chances are,  you'll do it.  No one wants to be known as the one who gave up.

5. Goal Clothes.
This is such a huge tip.  It seems so scary when you're doing it,  but do it- you won't regret it.  Go out,  whether it's to a thrift store,  or the mall,  and buy yourself clothes in a size smaller.  Go buy the shirt you've been eyeing in target for the last month,  [because let's be honest- target has the best stuff of all time- am I right,  or am I right?!  ;)]  go buy jeans in a size down than what you are now.  I cannot stress how incredibly important this tip it and how much it has helped me.  It stinks at first,  but after pushing yourself and giving it all you've got for a month,  when those jeans zip up,  when that shirt fits and is even a little lose,  that's when you know it was all worth it.  & just like that it becomes addicting.  Addicted to results,  and committed to changing your life for the better.

These are the tips that have kept me going for the last 2 years.  I have my days- believe me,  but,  these are all things I still remind myself of daily.  These tips are all so important and have all played a vital role in my weight loss journey.  I hope these tips were helpful!  I'm here to help in any way I can!  Always.
Xo,
Faith
